Piglet the prince – Mr. P

2023

We love you with all our hearts Pig – may you be joined with all your loved ones – including your previous owner and pet friends. Piglet (previously named Ruger) was adopted as a senior dog four years ago at the Marin Humane. Our beloved dog Cocoa lost her companion (Yoyo), so she found a new friend in Piglet (aka Pig). We met Pig earlier at the Marin Humane Gala, where he caught our eyes with his smile. He was a chihuahua mix from an unknown background, fawn coat with a white chest. He was a perfect guest during the first seven months at our home. Once he felt at home, he showed his strong-willed personality, charm, and passion for food, sun, and the garden. As a loyal friend to Cocoa, he stood by her side until she passed. Pig won my husband's heart; he never imagined falling for a chihuahua. Pig loved listening to lively music and hearing people talking and laughing. He was indulgent with food with no guilt. He lived passionately, and this little dog in a big world possessed the wisdom that happiness is found in nature. Pig’s last months were difficult with many health challenges, but he departed content with the last images of his day on earth: birds, flowers, and the sun on his face – he has bravely transitioned into life’s mystery.
Blessings to Mr. P the Prince
